about

Cats.

You find them in every musician's home the world over. Watching. Waiting. Playing with a piece of string. What do they want from us? Food, of course. Soft things to sleep on. Somebody to jiggle that piece of string around, probably. But also? WORLD DOMINATION.

You may not be aware of this, but cats are capable of leaving complicated scent-messages encoded on the ankles and fingertips of touring musicians, who are blindly spreading their correspondences as they run across each other along their musical travels. It is no coincidence that every musician has cats. They are utilizing our mobility to develop and benefit their plans of conquest. Why else would each and every new cat spend so much time smelling us? Why else, indeed.

However, we at Headhat Records are prepared to welcome our feline overlords and their various other animal minions. To that end, we have assembled this compilation album, with all the proceeds going to support our local Society For the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. We are hoping that the cats in our lives appreciate this gesture, and therefor go easier on us when their revolution comes. Also, we have string, and we are prepared to jiggle it.

Repeat: We ARE prepared to jiggle it.
